Sage Is Now on the Microsoft Store

Crowned Phoenix LLC today announced that Sage, its desktop Git client for Windows and Linux, is now available on the Microsoft Store. Sage is free for everyone, with no accounts, no subscriptions, and no paid tiers.

Sage is built for developers who want to see what their repository is doing. It takes the layout that desktop Git clients got right - a wide commit history over a live diff - and renders it in a deliberately calm interface: paper-like surfaces, a single sage-green accent, real typography, and a properly designed light and dark theme.

Crucially, Sage is not a reimplementation of Git. It shells out to the same git binary developers already trust, so there are never any surprises about what a button did to a repository. On Windows, Sage ships with Git bundled, so it works the moment it is installed - no separate setup, no PATH configuration.

• A real commit graph - history across all branches on a multi-lane graph with ref and tag pills
• Sync at a glance - fetch, pull, and push with ahead/behind badges
• Everything in one place - branches, tags, remotes, and stashes in a single sidebar
• A repo list that scales - rename any repository to a label of your choosing, such as Project / API, and filter by typing; no folder hierarchies to maintain
• Built-in conflict resolution - resolve merge conflicts inside the app with Accept Current, Accept Incoming, or Accept Both
• Designed for long sessions - light and dark themes, frameless custom window chrome, and line-numbered diffs

Free, and open

Sage is released under the Apache License 2.0. The source is available for anyone to read, audit, fork, and build on.

Availability

Sage is available now on the Microsoft Store for Windows. Linux users can install it directly from the project releases. Both platforms are free.
