Expanding Into Visual Defense Intelligence
17 June, 2025

We're excited to announce the launch of SIGMA-VANGUARD, a new initiative exploring the frontier of AI-powered visual intelligence for defense applications. This project represents an ambitious step forward for our team as we enter a domain we haven't worked in before: the automatic analysis of military imagery.
SIGMA-VANGUARD is designed to process visual inputs from various sources — including drone feeds, static cameras, and satellite imagery — and identify military vehicles and aircraft in complex environments. Our goal is to support defense analysts by delivering fast, machine-generated object recognition that helps surface actionable insights quickly and accurately.
While we've built intelligent systems before, SIGMA-VANGUARD marks our first venture into military object classification at this level of specificity. We're currently focused on the Baltic region and training the system to distinguish between trucks, IFVs, APCs, tanks, missile platforms, helicopters, and aircraft. This focus allows us to build a regionally aware foundation, while keeping scalability in mind for future deployments.
The project is in its early stages — with model training underway — and we'll be sharing progress, learnings, and technical deep-dives as development continues. We're proud to take this step into a new space and eager to see where it leads.
